![]() So far, so good.īut the equation that the formula spits out doesn't work when I try to get the actual numbers (I need to know what the best fit output is for 24 and 45 and 78, etc.). It turns out the R^2 was higher using the polynomial trendline rather than the logarithmic one, and upping the exponent to 6 made for the tightest line/smoothest data. ![]() So I graphed the data using the scatter plot and added a trendline. ![]() The dropoff should not be linear, and should be either logarithmic or polynomial. 1 should yield a higher output than 2, 2 than 3, and so on. I'd like to smooth the data, as there should be a general decline. In column A, I have 220 rows of data going 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.
